Next-generation checkpoints

The Key Line Smart Passenger Checkpoint is a next-generation checkpoint solution from Nuctech, utilizing a series of cutting-edge security check technologies into one total system, featuring a high level of security, flexibility, automation and intelligence.

The fundamental elements of the solution are the new Kylin Ti cabin CT system, Key Line automatic tray return system (ATRS) and the FlexOne multiplexing system. Kylin Ti is ECAC EDSCB C3 approved, delivering superior 3D image quality while maintaining high throughput due to the 0.2m/s belt speed. The Key Line ATRS system builds up the checkpoint automation and adapts to any checkpoint layout thanks to its totally modular design. The FlexOne system provides the image multiplexing and centralized management service, which adopts open IT architecture and universal interface design. It can integrate multiple kinds of security machines in one network, such as EDS, EDSCB, conventional x-ray machines, SSc, WTMD, ETD, MD for shoes, and LEDS.

Furthermore, checkpoint-dedicated modules are now available on the FlexOne, including a checkpoint dashboard that enables overall real-time monitoring of the checkpoint KPIs and operating data on each security check subprocess and checkpoint element, giving the administrator an insight into the cost-effectiveness balance between the checkpoint resource consumption and productivity. With the support of reliable real-time data, the administrator can dynamically manage the checkpoint workload and resource balancing according to the passenger flow, operator performance or any other bottlenecks.

Live data is also available at the single-lane subprocess level, enabling the checkpoint manager to dig into the specific passenger experience and interaction of the subprocesses, such as preparation area, divestment area, passenger screening area, reclaim/clear area, recheck area and total. Therefore, the manager can get a picture of the passenger demographics, machine availability and improvement potentials and gain better opex.
