At its booth at Passenger Terminal Expo, Ink Innovation is presenting a self-service bag-tagging unit, Ink QuickTag Lite.
With this solution, airports can retrofit check-in halls and bag-drop areas with touchless barcode scanning and biometrics to create a tag-and-drop space for its passengers. The company asserts that Ink QuickTag Lite has been designed to be able to integrate with any departure control system (DCS). This self-service solution is designed to issue tags with minimal staffing, unlock terminal capacity and reduce queue wait times. By providing travelers with a self-service option, Ink Innovation expects Ink QuickTag Lite to standardize passenger processes, improve the passenger experience and reduce airport overheads. Additionally, the solution’s exception handling does not require the staff to relocate to a counter, because agents can perform check-in, bag-drop and boarding processes from smart handheld devices.
Blaine Powell, chief sales officer of Ink Innovation, said, "We have selected Passenger Terminal Expo, one of the most important events in our event calendar, to position Ink ID at the heart of our customer journey. PTE increases our brand exposure and is the perfect opportunity to catch up with customers and partners and speak with others in the industry."
