Display solution company VideowindoW is showcasing its video screen glass façade solution to Passenger Terminal Expo attendees.
VideowindoW uses pixelated tintable glass to convert glass façades into big-scale transparent video screens. This is intended to add value to glass façades and achieve sustainability goals in a profitable way. VideowindoW offers the ability to add a narrative to glass façades (reminiscent of stained glass) to inform, entertain and engage. Any content can be used to tint glass, using their patented system, algorithms and sensor input.
By using this technology, the company asserts that glare control can become a media platform. Each module is equipped with a light sensor and uses advanced algorithms to incorporate real-time data from exterior luminescence and temperature. This is key to VideowindoW’s ability to show moving content while realizing glare control. With its transparent video display, VideowindoW claims to have unlocked the untapped media value of glass façades.
“VideowindoW transforms glass surfaces (façades) into transparent video screens,” commented Remco Veenbrink, CEO and founder of VideowindoW. “Immersive entertainment is combined with glare control and climate control. Our product is already installed in airports where commercial content instantly yields a return on investment – Shading as a Service that pays for itself. We help airports achieve sustainability goals in a fun and profitable way.
“PTE allows us to network and potentially partner with other companies in the aviation industry. This way, we can bring our solution to more terminals, helping airports with passenger experience, sustainability and non-aviation revenue.”
