At Passenger Terminal Expo 2024 Acorel will be presenting its new airport intelligence solution using IOT and computer vision. Acorel provides a real-time passenger counting solution through its innovative computer vision technology based on neutral networks and CCTV cameras.

Taking advantage of artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, the company has developed specific algorithms to manage passenger flow. A dedicated processing unit installed in the airport analyzes the video images of the CCTV cameras, enables counting of people and automatically calculates the percentage of occupancy of each part of the terminal.

The main benefits of this solution are the reuse of existing CCTV cameras, full compliance with GDPR regulation, passenger flow improvement, accurate detection, quick installation and ease of maintenance. In addition, it is a cost-effective solution permitting airport management and passenger experience optimization.

Acorel provides the complete architecture, including the video processing unit, dedicated servers and the web-based application.
