Firstco has developed the vertiport management system (VMS), which is the digital infrastructure required to enable the remote management of a distributed vertiport network from a single platform.

The VMS leverages automation technology to be part of the solution to the fundamental challenge of making advanced air mobility (AAM) commercially viable and consequently a reality in the following three ways. First, by enabling connectivity between various systems serving as a single source of the truth. Second, it promotes data-driven decision-making by leveraging advanced data analytics and logical algorithms to provide valuable insights and predictive capabilities by collecting and analyzing a wide array of data. By harnessing this information, the company’s solution enables stakeholders to make data-driven decisions, which can enhance efficiency.

Third, sustainable practices and reducing the environmental impact of transportation (key priorities in the AAM future mobility ecosystem) are supported by VMS functionality, including an optimized power management system.

The VMS is an important part of the infrastructure needed to support the emergence of eVTOL aircraft, helping to ensure safe and efficient operations across the vertiport network from a remote location.
