Navtech Radar’s real-time threat analysis solution, AdvanceGuard, provides airports with a fully automated security surveillance system.

AdvanceGuard offers 360° coverage and returns low false alarm rates. The company pointed out that, as a result of this, only true threats are detected so operators are able to rely on the system and be confident in the alerts raised. The tech also provides perimeter intrusion detection and wide-area surveillance capabilities to sites where security is essential.

The high-definition radar system can spot, track and pinpoint the location of intruders in real-time, as well as share the speed and direction of the movement. By detecting both inside and outside the perimeter, it can identify potential intruders before they can enter the site. With these features, AdvanceGuard can provide continual situational awareness at any time of day and is unaffected by environmental conditions such as rain, snow, fog, sand and dust storms.

The technology has been designed to be an easily installed, customizable solution that can be deployed as a stand-alone system or integrated with existing security systems. Even on sites with trusted security measures, AdvanceGuard can be integrated into current software, or with cameras and video management systems to improve the overall security solution, eliminate nuisance alarms and reliably detect and track, in real-time both inside and outside the perimeter. The hardware can also be installed onto existing infrastructure, minimizing excessive building costs and disruption.
