Self-bag drop solution to be launched at PTE

According to Daifuku, its latest retrofit self-bag drop solution is lightning fast, greatly improves passenger flow and throughput, and is set to turn heads at this year’s exhibition.

Through extensive industry consultation, the latest T-Series model was developed based on recurring feedback that a slimline retrofit model was required that doesn’t compromise design and flexibility.

Don Oxley, general manager of digital technology at Daifuku, says, "One of the great misconceptions is that a retrofit solution means an instant resolve. Often the result is a solution that obstructs the airport’s interior design aesthetic and appears like an afterthought, compromising the passenger experience in both agent and self-service modes. The T-Series compliments an airport interior, providing a flexible, high-end design for retrofit installations.”

The T-Series is elegant in design and conveniently compact, with the added advantage of agent-assisted mode or being fully self-service. This latest model also offers exceptional flexibility with various add-ons, including manual or fully automated bag tag reading, baggage conveyability analysis, tub detection and more.

Daifuku’s latest introduction to its range of self-bag drops has already been rolled out across the Asia-Pacific region and will be launched globally at Passenger Terminal Expo 2024.
