Tecno, a Grimshaw firm, will present many of its innovative interior architecture solutions at this year’s Passenger Terminal EXPO.

Airports are increasingly becoming dynamic, multicultural, urban settings – places where people wait, eat, work, make purchases and relax. With this in mind, Tecno created Aeris, a beam-based bench system for the airport industry. Design know-how combined with a focus on evolving behavior, as well as product innovation and ergonomics, are what led to the conception of Aeris, which was designed to be extremely versatile and accessorizable.

Aeris can also be integrated with io.T smart technology to liaise with Dina-Connecting Spaces, Tecno’s portal for smart building and high-traffic location management.

The recent introduction of the Linea micro-architectural system makes it possible to define spaces in a dynamic, personalizable and reconfigurable way in hybrid and mixed-use open spaces. Linea can create lounge areas or storage areas with bookable lockers, as well as temporary work surfaces or seating zones for quick meals.

In a modern society that is constantly connected and geared to sharing, Aura is a chair that favors thinking and meditation: the enveloping shape of the shell helps to create a private space, creating a feeling of privacy and aiding concentration in lounges and public places.
