Annet Steenbergen

Since co-founding/initiating the Aruba Happy Flow project in 2013 after many years working in international border management, digital identity and innovation for the travel ecosystem has been at the centre of Steenbergen's work. She is currently a consultant for the travel and tourism industry and works on projects with a focus on implementing digital identity, the (EU) digital identity wallet large-scale pilot and ICAO DTC, creating truly seamless travel while preserving data privacy and data protection. Since 2016, Steenbergen has been actively involved in IATA's OneID advisory board, working groups and task forces and in 2020 she was awarded the Women in Biometrics Award. She is a regular speaker/moderator at conferences.

Panel discussion: Reflection on each of the use cases presented

The three presentations show that the use of digital identity will soon go beyond the pilot phase and will become mainstream. We will discuss with all three panelists what they expect will affect processes at the airport in the near future because of these developments.
